Dance Floor Rental in NYC

Large dance floors for galas, award nights, holiday parties and corporate celebrations, planned with the stage, sound and lighting, and installed by our crew.

A Dance Floor Planned With the Room

After the speeches and the awards, the dance floor becomes the center of the room. For a gala, an awards night or a company celebration, that floor has to be big enough for a crowd, level, safe, and in the right spot between the tables, the stage and the bars.

ProSho rents dance floors for large events and plans them with the rest of the production. We place the floor on your floor plan, line it up with the stage, the lighting and the sound, then deliver it, install it and strike it with the same crew that builds the stage.

Rent the dance floor on its own, or add it to a full production from our AV company in NYC.

Dance Floors for Big Rooms and Big Nights

We rent dance floors for large events across New York City. These are the nights they are made for.

  • Galas and Fundraisers: Big floors for big rooms, placed so the dancing starts the moment dinner ends.
  • Award Nights: A floor in front of the stage that works for the walk-ups first and the party after.
  • Holiday Parties: Company parties in ballrooms, lofts and event spaces, planned around the venue.
  • Corporate Celebrations: Anniversaries, milestones and client nights with a live band or DJ.
  • Product Launch After-Parties: The floor goes in when the launch is over and the music starts.
  • Conference Closing Nights: The last-night party for a multi-day conference, in the same ballroom or a new room.

Planning the whole night?

How Big Should the Dance Floor Be?

The right size depends on how many guests will be dancing at the same time, not the total guest count. A late-night party crowd fills a floor fast; an awards dinner with a short dance set needs less. The shape of the room, where the stage sits and how close the tables are all matter too.

We work it out from your guest count and floor plan, then draw it into the plan, so you can see the floor with the tables, the stage and the bars before anything ships. Floor sizes and finishes for your date are confirmed with the quote.

From Floor Plan to Strike

Floor Plan and Layout

We size and place the floor on your plan with the stage, tables and bars.

Load-In Plan

We plan the delivery with the venue: loading dock, elevators and timing.

Install and Level

Our crew lays and levels the floor and checks every edge.

Strike and Clear

After the last song, we take it up and clear the room on schedule.

New York venues often give crews a short window to load in, and the dance floor usually goes down after the stage and before the tables. We build the floor into the load-in schedule with the rest of the production, so it never holds up the room.

Ask Us About the Finish

Looking for a black and white floor or another finish? Tell us the look and we will confirm what is available for your date.

Floor Questions We Hear Most

How much does dance floor rental cost?

It depends on the size of the floor, the finish, how many days it stays down, when it has to be installed and struck, and venue access for load-in. Send us the venue, the guest count and your floor plan, and we will quote it.

What size dance floor do I need?

It depends on how many guests will dance at the same time, the program for the night, and the shape of the room. We size the floor from your guest count and floor plan, and show it on the drawing with the tables, the stage and the bars.

Do you install and remove the dance floor?

Yes. Our crew delivers the floor on our own trucks, installs and levels it, and strikes it after the event, on the venue’s schedule.

Can the dance floor go right in front of the stage?

Yes, and that is usually where it belongs. We plan the floor with the stage, the lighting and the sound, so the band or DJ, the lights and the dancers all line up.

Can you light the dance floor?

Yes. Moving lights, color washes and gobo patterns on the floor turn it into the center of the room after dinner. Our lighting and sound teams plan it together with the floor.

Do you rent dance floors outside New York City?

Yes. With our own fleet of trucks and 18-wheelers, we deliver across New York City, New Jersey, Long Island and anywhere the show goes next.
